MASTER'S DEGREE IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT
Industrial Engineering and Management focuses on the rationalization of resource use (machines, transportation systems, tools, information technology, people, space, financial resources, etc.) in industrial and service companies, with the goal of improving their overall performance.
The aim of the course is to train professionals with technical and scientific knowledge capable of ensuring a competitive performance for the production systems of the companies in which they are employed.
It provides the acquisition of specific competencies that allow the application of engineering methods and scientific principles of management to the production systems of goods and services, aiming to achieve the most effective integration and coordination of the company’s management processes, utilizing various types of human, material, technical, economic, and informational resources.

THESIS
Each academic year, students submit their dissertations by the end of October. Completed dissertations can be accessed in the RepositóriUM.
ACCESS METHODS
The candidates for this program must hold a bachelor’s degree in the field of Industrial Engineering and Management (EGI) or a related field from a national institution deemed suitable by the Scientific Committee of the Study Cycle.

Accreditation by A3ES
The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (A3ES) accredited the MEGI program without conditions for a period of 6 years, on October 22, 2020, in accordance with the recommendation and justification provided by the respective External Evaluation Committee. Academic Degree
The Master’s degree is awarded to students who have completed 120 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits, along with the preparation and public defense of a thesis.
